We've finished the serious bit. We've eaten.
Now... let's really enjoy the evening!
The pattern of any wedding simchah is always similar...
For the Chosson, it starts with a dance with his Father, and next with his
Rabbi, and then other family members. After them come his close friends, and
finally with anybody else who hadn't had a turn earlier. Then you get the
'shticks' (party tricks) where friends show off their skills by dancing
in spectacular ways.
The ladies have their own rituals, including skipping with a rope.
Tamara was asked to burst some glitter-filled balloons, and the glitter
got everywhere!
Other people tumbled, leapt into the air, and there was no end to the
fun.
And it wouldn't be a Jewish wedding without the jugglers!
(often with burning clubs...)
Yes, it was a real simchah!
Our special thanks toour good friends, Scott Seltzer, of the Jerusalem Jewish Jugglers, and Scholem Erlanger, who juggled with him.
