The 'Bentsching' ('grace after meals')

Michael's Dad makes one of the Shevah Brochahs!

When the meal ends, but before starting the final dance of the evening,
Jews recite the grace after meals,
with the added 'Shevah Brochahs' in honour of the Chosson and Kallah.
6 People make the 7 Brochahs, and then 2 cups of wine used are mixed together,
and given to the Chasan and Kallah, who drink from the combined cup.

The Shevah Brochahs are recited before Bentsching after every meal for the 7 days of the wedding celebrations, whenever there are 10 men present and bread is eaten.

Our thanks to Mrs Rashi Reichart,
who designed and printed the cards with the text of the Shevah Brochahs.
