Description
The Talmid is the Pawn of the Yeshivah. Long lines of them sit or stand at their fixed place or seat, struggling to learn, or just cruising by. In some Yeshivot, they wear black suits and black hats, whilst in others, jeans and T-Shirts are more acceptable. |

The Talmid can advance from Beginners' Classes to Advanced classes, and then learn with their "Chavrusa" (Study partner). A Talmid who learns and hard and long enough can be promoted to a Rebbe, but this can take many years. The Talmid captures knowledge by struggling with the texts. |
